The sphere is the most basic kind of advertising inflatable.
Uses:
Inflatable spheres can be used in many different situations, as they are probably the most used type of inflatable since the market began.
The most well known use is in publicising a stand by hanging it from the ceiling of a fairground or making it float using helium. This function, as with all of its other publicity functions means that the advertiser’s logo can be seen from any point, if it is imposed on the sphere three times every 120º.
This type has also been used as a Christmas decoration for many years, and although its use is almost taken for granted, interior designers continually surprise us, year after year, with new effects.
The transparent kind has been used for theatre performances or publicity by having a presenter or actor get inside and rolling it on the ground and even over water in a swimming pool. .
Another interesting use is to project an image from outside or inside, onto the surface. The roundness gives an interesting effect to the projected images.
Construction method:
The construction of the inflatable sphere, whatever the nature of its manufacture may be, is always based on one single pattern repeated radially with two circular plates joining at the ends.
They can be manufactured as airtight versions (once inflated there is no need to shoot air inside it), and also as continuous airflow versions (a small turbine plugged into the electrical supply provides a constant air flow into the inflatable to keep it up).
